KDL featured in international business publication APAC Outlook

26 October 2026

KDL Property Group’s growth, development pipeline and increasing role in affordable housing have been highlighted in a major feature in international business publication APAC Outlook.

The feature profiles KDL’s evolution from a residential land developer into a business with integrated development and construction capabilities.

In an interview with APAC Outlook, KDL Founder and Managing Director Kent Leicester discusses the group’s expanding operations across Southeast Queensland, approach to housing delivery and the opportunities and challenges facing the property industry.

The article highlights KDL’s development pipeline of approximately 3,700 lots, with an estimated $2.5 billion in land and housing development projects, supported by a growing team and network of industry partners.

A major focus is the role of Ryse Construction, KDL’s construction arm, which enables housing design and construction considerations to be incorporated earlier in the development process.

Kent explains how this approach can improve efficiency, reduce unnecessary costs and help deliver a wider range of housing options.

The feature also reports on KDL’s involvement in major affordable housing initiatives, including 359 homes being delivered through Housing Australia Future Fund-supported projects and its role as exclusive land partner in the Everyone’s Place initiative, supporting 483 social and affordable homes.

Kent also highlights the importance of coordinated planning and infrastructure investment to address Queensland’s housing supply challenges.

“Infrastructure delays don’t just affect the developer. They can delay a builder’s start, a buyer’s home, and ultimately the date a resident can move in,” he said.

APAC Outlook is part of Outlook Publishing’s international network of business-to-business publications, profiling companies and industry leaders across the Asia-Pacific region.
