KDL appoints builder for new Avaline medical centre

10 August 2026

KDL Property Group KDL Property Group has appointed Queensland commercial builder Melrose to deliver the future medical centre at its Avaline community in Burpengary East.

The appointment marks another significant milestone for the community, with the medical centre set to become an important local healthcare destination for residents and the surrounding area.

KDL Founder and Managing Director Kent Leicester said the project reflected the company’s commitment to delivering communities that extended beyond housing.

“Great communities are about creating places where people have convenient access to the services they rely on every day,” he said.

“The medical centre will become an important part of the Avaline community, providing residents with quality healthcare closer to home while supporting the continued growth of Burpengary East.”

Melrose brings extensive experience delivering healthcare facilities across Queensland, with a portfolio that includes specialist medical clinics, corporate health and wellness centres, and allied health fitouts.

Kent said appointing an experienced healthcare builder ensure the facility met the needs of future medical operators and patients.

“Healthcare buildings have unique operational requirements, so it was important to partner with a builder that understands how to deliver these specialised environments,” he said.

The medical centre builds on the growing range of amenities already available within Avaline, including the recently opened Happy Hearts childcare centre, which is now supporting local families in the region.

The purpose-built early learning facility features modern classrooms, outdoor play areas and high-quality amenities designed to support children’s development.

“The childcare centre has already become a valued part of the Avaline community, and the medical centre is another important step towards delivering the services and infrastructure that support families at every stage of life,” Kent said.

Alongside more than 2.6 hectares of open space and a 1.2-hectare community park, the medical centre will further strengthen Avaline as a connected, convenient and family-friendly community.

Construction timing will be confirmed in due course, with KDL progressing discussions with suitable healthcare tenants.
