KDL Property Group has expanded its support of Queensland rugby, announcing a new partnership with Bond University Rugby Club aligned with the 2026 season launch.
The partnership reinforces KDL’s growing commitment to supporting clear pathways from grassroots participation through to elite-level competition, with Bond University Rugby widely recognised as a key feeder program for the Queensland Reds.
KDL is already a proud supporter of the Reds’ Next Gen program, which develops emerging players on the cusp of professional rugby. The addition of Bond University Rugby strengthens that connection at the critical development stage, helping nurture talent earlier in the pathway.
Bond University Rugby has built a strong reputation in recent years, producing players who have progressed into higher representative honours while maintaining a focus on performance, culture and player development both on and off the field.
KDL Property Group Managing Director Kent Leicester said the partnership was a natural extension of the company’s existing involvement in the game.
“Bond University Rugby is one of the standout programs in Queensland, not just for its on-field success but for the way it develops players and people,” he said.
“We see a clear alignment between what they are building and what we value at KDL – strong pathways, long-term development and creating opportunities for people to progress.
“With our support of the Reds Next Gen program already in place, this partnership helps strengthen that pathway from the junior and university level right through to elite rugby.”
The Bond University Rugby 2026 season launch on March 26 marked the start of what is expected to be another strong year for the club, with both men’s and women’s programs continuing to grow in depth and performance.
Kent said KDL was proud to support organisations that contribute to the broader community while also delivering excellence in their field.
“Whether it’s in housing or sport, we’re always interested in backing programs that are building something meaningful and sustainable over time,” he said.
“Bond University Rugby is a great example of that.”
The partnership adds to KDL’s broader community engagement program, which focuses on giving back to worthy causes with the aim of fostering inclusive, connected and resilient communities.
