New stages registered under 359-home affordable housing partnership

21 January 2026

KDL is pleased to provide an update on the exciting progress being achieved under our Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) partnership in South East Queensland.

The latest stage of land for HAFF homes in the Regent Quarter estate at Joyner has just registered and followed registration of the first participating lots in the Rosebank South in Logan Reserve late last year.

KDL and its building division Ryse Construction are delivering a total of 359 homes under this vital partnership with the Federal Government, project sponsor and investor Tetris Capital and operator, Community Housing Ltd.

With registration now achieved, the team at Ryse will be starting construction of the latest homes within the next few weeks.

The first homes under this partnership were delivered in 2025 with dozens of homes completed at KDL’s Jimboomba community, Elridge, and its Avaline estate in Burpengary East.

KDL Founder and Managing Director Kent Leicester said the program reflected the group’s long-term commitment to playing a meaningful role in addressing the state’s housing supply challenge.

“This partnership demonstrates what can be achieved when government and the private sector work together with a shared focus on outcomes,” he said.

“Through HAFF, we are delivering well-designed, energy-efficient homes that people are proud to live in, while helping to ease pressure on the broader housing market.”

Homes delivered under the HAFF partnership reflect Ryse Construction’s commitment to practical innovation and environmental responsibility. Dual-key designs increase housing supply while maintaining privacy and comfort, and all homes are built to high energy efficiency standards.

Features include DC electric hot water systems, split-system air-conditioning to key living areas, stone benchtops, mirrored wardrobes and fully landscaped streetscapes. Recycled Biax pods, low-carbon concrete and locally sourced materials further reduce environmental impact.

“This approach supports both upfront affordability and lower ongoing living costs for residents,” Kent said.

“At the same time, it ensures our communities maintain a high standard of design and presentation.”
