What a year! It’s been an action-packed 12 months for KDL thanks to our hard-working team, supportive partners and valued customers.
As 2024 draws to a close, the KDL and Ryse Construction teams climbed aboard YOT Blue on the Gold Coast to celebrate a host of significant milestones and achievements.
With a record five active land projects underway across the Logan and Moreton Bay regions, dozens of new homes completed by Ryse Construction and a very positive outlook for 2025, there was plenty to celebrate.

KDL Managing Director Kent Leicester said 2024 had been one of the most successful for the group since it was first established in 2012.
“After 12 years in business, it is extremely rewarding to see our belief that property development could be done differently coming to fruition,” he said.
“We set out to build a company with a strong focus on people, process and partnerships, and a company that would always be looking to the future, identifying key locations and building a development pipeline to meet evolving market needs.”
From early land subdivisions targeting both the investor and owner-occupier markets, KDL is evolving its focus to large-scale government and institutional housing delivery, with a current pipeline of around 1,400 lots across two major growth corridors.
The launch of Ryse Construction two years ago marked a major milestone, enabling the group to manage every stage of delivery, from acquisition to completed homes, with the speed and consistency required by public and private sector partners.
“As we look forward to even bigger and better things in 2025, I would like to thank everyone on our team and all our partners and contractors for their hard work this year,” Kent said.
“We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable festive season and a prosperous 2025.”
