KDL Property Group is proud to announce its role in delivering more than 150 new affordable homes in the Moreton Bay region as part of the Australian Government’s Housing Australia Future Fund Facility (HAFFF).
As both the land developer under KDL and the builder under its Ryse Construction division, this partnership will provide 100 turnkey homes in KDL’s Joyner community and another 53 homes in its estate at Burpengary East.
The Hon Clare O’Neil MP, Minister for Housing and Minister for Homelessness, joined KDL representatives on site at Joyner recently for a sod-turning ceremony to mark the start of this vital project.
Around 65 per cent of homes will be 3 or 4 bed dwellings to support families seeking affordable rental. The remainder will be 1- and 2-bedroom dwellings in dual key configurations, supporting a range of households including key workers, multigenerational living and elderly people.
Other partners include project sponsor and investor Tetris Capital and Community Housing Ltd‘s Together Housing Qld.
Homes under the HAFFF Moreton Bay project will be progressively completed from now until 2027.

KDL Managing Director Kent Leicester said the group was extremely proud to be playing a part in the delivery of much-needed affordable homes.
“We are playing a pioneering role in the delivery of affordable housing with unique planning outcomes and construction programs that meet affordability criteria without compromising on quality or design,” he said.
“As both land developer and builder, our streamlined, vertically integrated business model enables more efficient land use and smarter lot sizing, together with shorter build times and cost savings across design and construction.
“These savings can then be passed on while maintaining strong outcomes in terms of liveability, finish and environmental performance.”
Construction of the HAFF homes in Burpengary East is expected to be completed later this year and the first homes at Joyner in 2026.
